Attention Performers
GREAT PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY FOR COLOR GUARD, BRASS ENSEMBLES, TWIRLER, AND DRUM LINES!!!
South Central Kansas “Mini” Winter Guard Festival
Sponsored by the
PERFORMANCE ARTS FOUNDATION, INC.
and the ROSE HILL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC DEPT.
You and your performing groups are invited to the 6th annual area Winter Guard Festival and which will be held Saturday, February 14th, 2009 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Rose Hill High School (104 N Rose Hill Rd, Rose Hill, KS 67133).
The South Central Kansas Festival was created as an opportunity to generate interest in winter performance activities (MUSIC & MOVEMENT) and to give students a forum to demonstrate their talents and hard work in a physically and artistically challenging sport. The teams will perform in exhibition on a standard high school basketball court and receive taped comments from experienced judges. There are minimal formal performance rules or time constraints. This is a great opportunity to have your group perform in front of a receptive audience and to observe and learn from other area performance arts groups. Teams are welcome to perform their marching band feature, pep assembly routine, basketball half-time routine, and/or contest routine. It is up to each individual group to decide what will be performed, the more creative the better.
For more info contact Melissa at 259-9997, Renee at 218-0063, or Mike at 250-8009
