I was shocked and saddened to learn that 26 Qataris were abducted in southern Iraq on Wednesday. I urge the government of Iraq to do its utmost to ensure that all those who were kidnapped are returned to the safety of their families.
PAFI would like to extend its gratitude and appreciation to the Turkish government for sending units of the Turkish Army to northern Iraq in support of the international community’s air campaign and the Iraqi people against ISIS.

On November 10, 2015, Peace Ambassadors for Iraq (PAFI) held a conference entitled What Future for Iraq? Daesh and National Break-Up in partnership with the Institut Thomas More in Paris, France. The conference brought together representatives from across Iraq’s religious and ethnic communities as well as analysts from Europe and the U.S. in order to discuss the state of the fight against Daesh and theneed for improved governance and reform.
